Wordless Wednesday - Snack Foods Runneth Over

Monday morning I decided if I was going to start my summer slim down I had to do it right. By doing it right I decided that I have to clean out the cabinets and rid them of anything that might have tempted me to eat it. I threw an entire large garbage bag full of cookies, chips, and so on away. I really didn’t feel like I was losing much because most of it I didn’t even realizes we had in the house and I would bet most of it was stale.  Goodbye garbage! Hello skinny jeans!

Sweet! I've been trying to loose weight too. At home I'm pretty good. I hate that at work they keep giant boxes of Snicker bars in the fridge. Temptation to grab one is so strong!

I don't buy any of that stuff HOWEVER, Hubs does. I was preparing him and his fishing buddies a nice healthy lunch and snacks to enjoy on the boat a couple of weekends ago and asked him to go pick up some whole wheat bread. He came back with BBQ potato chips, chocolate granola bars...and then, for the pantry some Ritz crackers, tortilla chips, more chocolate granola bars, ice cream for the freezer...oh yeah. But it's out of here now...I sent it downtown with our college lovelies! LOL

I am going to ignore the fact that you threw away Oreos and Chips Ahoy! Two of my favorites!!! That's just wrong!!!

BUT, I would have had to do the same thing! I cannot be trusted with either of those in the house!

Only difference, I probably would have pigged out on Sunday! :)

Good job for throwing all that out. You don't need it, especially if you didn't even know what you had. lol... It's safer to get rid of dangerous foods. I'm proud of you!!

Snack foods never lasted more than a day or two in my house which is why I had to stop bringing them in. Now if I want ice cream or some other treat I have to make an effort and go out for it. It's easier to go for a kiddie size treat and enjoy it rather than hear it call me back to the fridge over and over until I've eaten an entire carton. Remember treats are only treats if we don't have them all the time. Keep up the good work. Have a great weekend!
