I really had high hopes for week #7 of the Summer Sizzle but unfortunately I failed this week. Instead of a loss I have to report my first gain. Ugh that’s a bitter pill to swallow. I gained: 3.2 pounds!!!
My week started off with either a little virus or food poisoning I am not sure which one. For the first few days of the week I had no energy to do any type of workout. I just didn’t feel very good at all. I counted the calories that I could remember. My husband was downing food and Gatorade down my throat as much as possible, but everything left my body just as fast.
I honestly don't know how it's possible that I could have gained 3.2lbs I didn't even eat close enough to the amount of calories it would have taken for me to have that kind of gain. It's kind of depressing to me. Yesterday I knew I was going to have a gain, but I didn't think it was going to be so big, nor did I think I was going to take it this hard.

I am disappointed in the gain, but not disappointed enough for it to throw me off of my game. Today is a fresh start and the beginning of week #8. Heck I am just proud that I have survived this long. It’s actually gone quickly and I am proud of myself for still being on board. I know a lot of people have been lost along the way, but I still have hope that some people will get back with it. If anyone else is interested in joining I hope you do. It’s never too late to turn your life around. I know I haven’t lost 20lbs yet but I do feel a lot better. Mentally… physically, and emotionally better (well not today)!
Week #8 Goals:
- Water, Water and MORE water! I just can’t seem to get this one down, but I am not going to give up trying.
- Lowing my calorie intake to 1400 and not going over it.
- This week I want to get in 7 days of working out. It’s a goal I am hoping to be successful in.
- Get to my 20lb goal!!
- None-Scale-Victory is to get a lot of cleaning down around my house

Kody reported the same exact thing, a gain after being sick. So don't fret and move forward. That scale isn't what you always go by. It's how you're feeling and how things are fitting and how your moving and if you ask me you're doing excellent. So just keep trying. Good luck this week.
Blessings!!
Sometimes you just have a week where your body decides to hang on to water or whatever - it happens. But you have a great attitude about it and I like how you are sticking with the challenge despite a week you didn't like. Good for you - I know you will have a great week this week. Keep going! You are doing awesome!
