What Diet Type Works Best For You?


As you all know a big majority of Colie’s Kitchen readers are participating in the Summer Sizzle weight loss challenge. I must say everyone is doing an amazing job! We have all been searching for the type of diet that works best for ourselves. Finding the diet that works best for you is essential for your success. For me I have found that just simple exercise and counting and limiting my calories intake works best for me, but that’s not the case for many of our participants.


I want to spotlight some of our participants and what I know is working for them:


Kody is finding that the Dieta Atkins is working best for her. The Atkins Low carb and high protein diet works best for her lifestyle and her body seems to be responding very well to it. She has had trouble with many diets not working for her in the past. By her choosing to try the Atkins diet she is finding that the pounds are falling off quickly. I must say she is looking amazing!


Natalie on the other hand seems to be having the best results with the dieta mediterranea which is eating foods that are Mediterranean inspired. Natalie is olive and olive oil obsessed so this diet is perfect for her and the lifestyle she leads. She is also from the Middle East so a lot of the foods she was eating everyday work well for her on the Mediterranean diet. One thing I love about Natalie’s choice is she has chosen a diet that she can live with the remainder of her life. This should not necessary be a “diet” in the end for you, but a lifestyle change. Natalie’s new found diet is working great for her because it’s not a big stretch from what she was normally eating, but it’s much more controlled.


Kellie is finding that the dieta Fricker is doing wonders for her. Fricker diet is high protein and low calorie. Kellie thought this diet would work best for her because she eats chicken at every meals, and chicken is the only meat she chooses to eat. She also avoids starches like the plague. Nope you won’t see Kellie putting a potato to her lips.


It’s very import to find a diet that works best for you. Not every diet is going to work best for your lifestyle or your body. My body didn’t respond well to the many of the diets I tried, but my body is thriving on a well-balanced diet. Counting calories and exercise works best for me. What diet are you finding works best for you?

Weight Watchers works best for me. It keeps me on track but allows some treats. Weeks and months where I've not stuck to WW or tried to go it alone I haven't lost any if much weight at all.

But you're right. It is about finding what works for you.
