PB2 Review @bellplantation

I have been dying to try PB2. I first heard about it at the beginning of the year, but I didn’t really have a clear understanding of what it was. I honestly thought it was peanut butter for kids with peanut allergies, but that isn’t even close to correct. After seeing people on Myfitnesspal put PB2 on their menus for the day I decided I needed to figure out what it was because the calorie count was so low.

A few days ago I was in the grocery store and just happened to stumble across a table they had set up specifically for the PB2. After looking it over and seeing they had a coupon for it I decided to give it a try.

So what is PB2? PB2 is peanuts that have had all of the fat squeezed out of them then it’s turned into a powder. What I love is looking at the ingredients for it compared to traditional peanut butter. When you look at the PB2 the ingredients are peanuts, salt, sugar, and in my case cocoa (I got the chocolate PB2).  Although it’s a powder you can turn it back into the traditional form of peanut butter by simply adding water to it. If you take two tablespoons of the pb2 and add one tablespoons of water the consistency is exactly like the regular peanut butter you would buy in a jar. Two tablespoons of PB2 is only 45 calories traditional peanut butter averages out to be about 2oo calories for two tablespoons that a difference of 155 calories.

So what can you do with PB2? You can add water to it and turn it into your traditional peanut butter or you can add it to protein shakes, yogurt, or even to smoothies. You can do anything you want with it for more than 75% less calories.

So is it any good? It’s fantastic! I tried the Chocolate PB2 and really loved it. To me it tastes like a peanut butter cup … Yes please! I love it on a rice cake for a low calorie snack or made into a sandwich. I haven’t had a peanut butter sandwich in months because the calories were too high. Thanks to PB2 I don’t have to be as concerned. I love that I can actually have peanut butter and it’s not going to kill my calorie count for the day.

I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to lower their calorie count or just looking for something fantastic and different! I can’t wait to try it in a smoothie.
Here is an idea: Chocolate PB2, frozen sliced bananas and sweetened coconut almond milk…. Oh yeah!!

By the way I wasn’t asked to do this review I wanted to try it and just happened to find it in the grocery store. Now I can’t wait to try the regular PB2.
