I can’t tell you how excited I am to be posting my very first time for the Secret Recipe Club. To top it all off the Secret Recipe Club member that was assigned to me just so happens to be someone whose blog I peroose quite often. To say I love “Finding Joy in my Kitchen” is an understatement. SnoWhite does an incredible job of organizing her recipes so that they are easy to find and easy to follow. She gives step by step instructions so that you are never left in the dark as to how to make her recipes. Love it!
I am very much a procrastinator I figured I would be putting off making my secret recipe until the last minute but I didn’t this time. One of her recipes actually saved the day! I was asked to tag along with a friend to check out a new Mommy and Me group she was thinking about joining. Each person was asked to bring a snack or an appetizer along with them. This was all very last minute so I did a bit of panicking because I didn’t know what to bring. After looking at “Finding Joy in my Kitchen” I found the perfect dip to bring, and I just happened to have everything on hand which was good because I didn’t have time to run to the grocery store. I chose to make her Roasted Red Pepper Dip.
I made the recipe exactly as she says to. I stuck everything in my Magic bullet and gave it a few whirls. The dip was ready in less than five minutes. I was cutting the time so close that I scooped the dip into a container then off I went with the dip and a box of crackers in hand.
Sadly I came home with an empty bowl because there wasn’t a drop left. One person said it was “Amazing” then everyone ran to gobble it up. I can’t tell you how many people’s email addresses I left with asking me to email them the recipe link. This recipe is fantastic, and easy to make. I have already made it again, but this time as a dressing on chicken wraps! To die for!
At the last minute I found another recipe from “Finding Joy in my Kitchen” that I couldn’t wait to try as a matter of fact I made Applesauce Granola Saturday night. If you ever need something to make your house smell amazing this is the recipe to make.
I mixed it all together and had it baking within 5 minutes. It’s such a simple recipe and most of the ingredients are things you might keep on hand. They are all certainty things I keep on hand like applesauce and oatmeal. The end result was divine! Granola can be so expensive but this recipe is an easy very inexpensive to make something that can easily be a shelf staple.
Like I said before it wasn’t hard for me to find recipes to make from “Finding Joy in my Kitchen” because I am already a huge fan! Check Out “Finding Joy in my Kitchen”
