I saw this picture and had to laugh because this is exactly what happened to me the other day. I saw a recipe on Pinterest that kept showing up throughout the week so I decided since I had all the ingredients I would give it a try.
It smelled great cooking (at first), but once I pulled it out of the crock pot not only did it not look good but it smelled like death it tasted like death too. In some places it just tasted like nothing.
I really didn’t think it was possible to re-kill a chicken in the crock pot but I am pretty sure that is what happened. You know it’s bad when you give the cat a piece to see if she will eat it and she tries to cover it up like it’s something in her litter box.
I was annoyed that I had made it for dinner and now we were going to have to come up with a plan “B.” I was annoyed that I wasted so many ingredients and I was annoyed that someone had the nerve to post it on Pinterest as a good recipe LOL!
I know there is always going to be a dud here and there but it’s sure a bummer when you picked the dud recipe out of so many great recipes on Pinterest!
Word to the wise… if the cat won’t eat it…. you probably shouldn’t either.
